Before you open the box, and day one
The Lumio Store order has a step in it that cannot be done later.
1. What is in the box?
The projector, the remote control, two AAA batteries for it, the power adapter and the user manual. Check all of it is there before the packaging goes out.
2. Do I need to record an unboxing video?
Yes, if you bought from the Lumio Store. A claim for transit damage, a missing accessory or the wrong product has to be supported by one, and a claim without a compliant video may not be reviewed.
Start recording before the seal is broken and keep it running in one take. Pauses, cuts and edits make it non compliant.
3. What does the unboxing video have to show?
The AWB label on the outside of the carton, legible, at either the start or the end. The sealed packaging, then the unpacking. The projector from every side: the lens, the body, the ports and the base. Each accessory as it comes out. Anything already damaged, shown clearly.
Record somewhere well lit and close enough that the model and its condition are readable on screen.
4. The projector arrived damaged, or something is missing. What now?
Write to support@lumio.co.in within 24 hours of delivery, with the unboxing video attached. After 24 hours the claim is outside the window. Keep the video until the matter is closed, because it may be asked for again during the investigation.
5. Does the unboxing rule apply if I bought on Amazon, Flipkart or Instamart?
No. Those orders run on that marketplace's own evidence rules, and a damage claim goes to the marketplace rather than to Lumio. Recording anyway costs nothing and tends to settle a damage conversation in one message.
6. How do I set it up on the first evening?
Choose the wall before the table: the largest clear stretch, ideally not the one with a window or a streetlight on it. Put the projector on a stable surface directly facing it, with 30 cm to 45 cm of clear space behind the unit. Fit the batteries, pair the remote by holding Back and Home within 10 cm of the projector, and let autofocus and keystone correction run on their own.
7. Is the setup difficult? Do I need a technician?
No. Unbox it, plug it in and point it at a wall. There is no mounting, no screen and no technician in the way, and the STR8 features handle the rest: autofocus, keystone correction and screen alignment run on their own.

8. Why should I register the projector, and where?
Register at lumio.co.in/registration within 15 days of purchase. Registered, support can see your model, purchase date and warranty status immediately and a service request goes straight to the problem. Unregistered, the conversation starts by establishing what you own and when you bought it, from a photograph of an invoice.
